Marketing Is Dead
Last night I attended Ann Holman's fantastic lecture on the subject of marketing. Part of the summery for the lecture states "how traditional differentiators that businesses had five years ago are being lost everyday. Price, quality and delivery are the same. Product offerings are bland and delivering great customer experience is the only competitive advantage left. Everyone just looks the same."
One of the key messages taken from the seminar was how almost everything known about marketing from the past 30 years is now irrelevant today. During the lecture I couldn't help but draw a comparison between this classic scene taken from the film 'Dead Poets Society' and Ann as she stating what was the "blinding flash of the obvious".Visit: http://annholman.co.uk
